Who could have predicted the rapid impact of e-technology on business? Who would have anticipated the effects of regional financial crises? Uncertainty in many forms — mergers, stock market downturns and global financial crises that force cost cuts — poses a challenge for corporations, and corporate philanthropy is no exception.
